Samras Hostel Admission 2022-23
The Government of Gujarat has launched a new digital platform known as “Samras Hostel Admission 2022”. The motive behind this portal is to provide hostel rooms to economically lower backgrounds people in the state. It will be providing facilities to students of all castes i.e SC/ ST/ OBC/ EBC. So, it is a good step toward financial stability for poor people who can’t afford expensive rooms. Under this portal, candidates can easily register themselves by applying online through the official website.
However, admission will be given to only those applicants whose names will be on the merit list. Moreover, students who are going to do their UG or PG degree in the Samras Hostel should undergo a merit list, certificate verification, etc. This hostel is for Boys and Girls having a total capacity of 13,000 students.
Now they have 20 hostels under the districts of Ahmedabad, Anand, Bhavnagar, Bhuj, Himmatnagar, Jamnagar, Patan, Rajkot, Surat & Vadodara. All the applicants waiting for the merit list have to wait some more time as officials will soon release the merit list.

Eligibility Criteria for Samras Hostel Admission Registration
In order to register yourself in this scheme, you need to meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned below;
- Firstly, the candidates must have 50% marks or more in the 12th standard for undergraduate courses.
- Secondly, you must score 50% marks or more in undergraduate courses for postgraduate courses.
- Because applicants will be selected on a merit basis in the samras hostel.
- Also, the merit list for admission will be published online mode on the official website.
- And all the candidates will be informed about this by SMS and e-mail.
Important Documents Required for the Admission

- You need to have your Id Proof such as Adhar Card, Pan Card, etc.
