Special package announced in respect of crop damage due to unseasonal rains this year
At present, due to unseasonal rains in various districts of Gujarat, the crops of the farmers were greatly damaged. A meeting of the State Council of Ministers was held for compensation.
In which it has been decided to pay compensation to the farmers of 48 talukas of different 13 districts.

- Crop damage package due to unseasonal rain announced: The recent unseasonal rains have damaged the crops of farmers. There was heavy rain in various districts in which the crops of the farmers were greatly damaged. Some small farmers have suffered a lot.
- Unseasonal rains were observed in almost entire Gujarat. So, considering this, the government has announced a package so that the farmers can be compensated for the crop loss.
Krushi Sahay 2023 – For which crops and how much assistance?
- Top-up assistance will be provided in special cases in addition to SDRF norms as per crop loss due to unseasonal rains in March-03.
- 13,500 available for agriculture and rainfed horticulture crops with an additional assistance of Rs.9,500 will be given a total assistance of Rs.3,000 per hectare subject to a maximum limit of Rs.1 hectare per account.
- In addition to Rs.18,000 available for perennial horticultural crops, an additional subsidy of Rs.12,600 will be provided for a total of Rs.30,600 per hectare subject to a maximum limit of Rs.
How to apply for seasonal loss package to farmers?
- To get the benefit of this package, the farmers have to fill in the prescribed application form Village Sample No.8-A, Palm Plantation Pattern/Village Sample No. Application has to be made in the prescribed format addressed to the Taluka Development Officer along with necessary supporting documents including 7-12, he added.
